Qalat al Bahrain
This ancient fort has changed hands so many times it’s hard to keep track of who owns it and who doesn’t. It spent much of its time under control of the Portuguese, but was also owned by the Persians and various Arabic tribes throughout times. It’s a great historical site and a wonderful way to view the Manama skyline from a distance.
