Top Fall Wine Festivals

Cooler weather and changing leaves makes for the perfect atmosphere for enjoying great libations. Here are some of the top wine festivals around the country this fall.

The Newport Wine & Food Festival, sponsored by Food & Wine, features a two-day Grand Tasting with hundreds of wines on the lawn of Marble House. The festival includes chef appearances and cooking demonstrations by national, regional and local chefs. Guests can also enjoy the Wine & Rosecliff Gala, a Sunday Jazz Brunch and Newport After Dark party. The festival is Sept. 21–24.

Food Network lovers won’t want to miss the Food Network & Cooking Channel New York City Wine & Food Festival, Oct. 12–15. In addition to the Grand Tasting, there are culinary demonstrations by notable chefs including Anne Burrell, Hannah Hart and Robert Irvine, as well as rooftop parties, dinners and brunches.

Texas Hill Country is becoming one of the newest recognized wine destinations in the country. Head to historic, downtown Fredericksburg for the annual Fredericksburg Food & Wine Fest Oct. 28. The festival features 30 local wineries and more than 40 local food specialty shops.

The Denver International Wine Festival is the premier wine and food festival in the Rocky Mountains, showcasing more than 400 international wines from 18 countries. The event features food and wine pairings, local produce, gourmet food products, fine art and more in downtown Denver, Nov. 2–4.
