Some travelers experience a decrease in overall health from the various stresses of travel, such as time changes and germs on airplanes. These strains on the immune system could ruin a wonderful trip. However, here are some easy tips to keep you strong and healthy while you travel.
Breath Clean Air
As simple as breathing clean air sounds, many people sit inside all day inhaling dust-filled air cycling through a dirty filter. Poor air quality and sickness have a direct correlation. Therefore, once you get off the plane and settled at your hotel, spend some time outside having a breath of fresh air.
Drink Clean Water
Water composes up to 60 percent of the human body. That percentage increases even further in regard to the brain, heart and lungs. It does not matter how it’s marketed, drinking water in a plastic bottle your whole life will lead to health issues. Do your research on the endocrine blockers and cancerous chemicals that seep into water from plastic. Many companies sell water in glass bottles. If you care about yourself, stop drinking out of plastic.
Stay Active
Staying active while traveling will help maintain a state of wellbeing. At least take a walk or go for a swim every day.
Sunlight
Your body needs sunlight and produces vitamin D from it. Make an effort to get some sun for at least 15 minutes a day.
Eat Real Food
Real food comes from the earth, not a nicely packaged box or wrapper. Avoid processed foods at all costs. You are what you eat. Give your body the fuel it needs while traveling by consuming the colors of the rainbow with fruits and vegetables.
