Trends / Unique Itineraries & Tours

With ocean and river cruises gaining popularity in recent years, it is no wonder sailing excursions have rapidly grown in popularity. With live-aboard sailing, there is something appealing about being able to sail where you please.

Travel trends indicate live-aboard sailing adventures are becoming much more popular, as well as affordable. The only catch is someone aboard the boat is required to know how to sail.

The companies that rent out these live-aboard boats require candidates to fill out a sailing resume, noting all relevant experience when dealing with boats. This is not only to gauge the experience of the user, but also to make recommendations on a suitable boat that will complement the passenger’s skill and abilities.

Fortunately, those with no experience do not have to be left out: For an additional fee, passengers who do not have any experience captaining boats can request the aid of a captain to safely navigate them on their journey.

A good idea when prepping for your sailing adventure is to make sure everyone who is coming knows exactly what to expect when arriving at the sailboat. Also, it is considered proper protocol to prepare an itinerary to make sure you have time to explore the places that peak your interest.

Sailing can be a lot of work, but also rewarding. A relaxing vacation out on the open water can conjure visions of peaceful tranquility, while at the same time creating a fun environment for any vacation-goer.
