Under $100 / North America

Montréal is a city of culture and cuisine, holding the status as the second-largest French-speaking city in the world as well as the city with the most restaurants per capita in North America.

Start your day with an invigorating walk, jog or bike ride through Mount Royal Park, designed by the same man behind Central Park. Don’t miss the overlook, which boasts breathtaking views of the city.

For a quick lunch, stop by Bota Bota, a floating restaurant plus spa offering fresh, seasonal menu items. Try the warm duck confit salad ($17) or the upscale burger, topped with goat cheese, honey and sundried tomatoes ($16). A spa treatment is by no means required to dine on the refurbished boat, but if your time and budget allows, you may want to book one of the signature treatments.

Prepare for the upcoming 2016 Olympics with a visit to the Montréal Olympic Park. Now one of the city’s most recognizable landmarks, it was built for the 1976 games. Climb to the top of the Montréal Tower or sign up for a private tour of the entire grounds for only $18.

Montréal is home to more than 350 food trucks, and all will give you a chance to try the city’s favorites, from poutine to bagels. Use Streetfood Quest to find one near you, no matter where you are in the city.

Of course, be sure to visit Old Montréal, a section of the city that displays its beauty differently every season. If the grand architecture and history peak your interest, pay a visit to Pointe-à-Callière, the Montréal Museum of Archaeology and History. Tickets are only $20.
