The charming town of Mystic, Connecticut, draws visitors for its coastal attractions. See Mystic for less than $100 a day.

 

Start your day with breakfast at Mystic Diner & Restaurant. The classic diner serves traditional breakfast items from omelets and pancakes to French toast and breakfast sandwiches. Breakfast entrées start at $3.99. Make a stop at the Mystic Seaport Museum to learn more about the town’s whaling and maritime history. The museum is perfect for all ages. Open daily, adult admission costs $28.95.

 

Have lunch at Engine Room. Located inside a refurbished marine engine room, the restaurant boasts a menu with local, seasonal ingredients. Choose from sandwiches, salads and larger entrées. Spend about $13. Go for a stroll through downtown Mystic and browse the dozens of shops, boutiques and galleries.

 

Enjoy dinner with a waterfront view at Red 36. The restaurant serves seafood classics including fish and chips, lobster rolls and grilled fish. Non-seafood options are also available. Entrées start at $20. Grab a beer at Barley Head Brewery. The small craft brewery offers a selection of four–six rotating beers. Tasting pours start at $3.
