Begin your stay at La Moneda, a former presidential palace that now serves as one of the city’s largest cultural centers. You’ll find many works of art here depicting the vast cultural scenes and variations of the city.
From there, grab a quick breakfast at Sabor de Beunos Aires for a croissant and coffee. Once you’re full, it’s now safe to head to the La Vega Central, a 115-year-old food market that sells numerous spices and cheeses you can take home for family and friends.

From there, step over to Peublito Los Dominicos to continue your shopping spree, but this time for different crafts made by local Chilean artisans. The workshops are free and open so you can sit and watch how the crafts are made before purchasing them.
Head to Olan for lunch, a small favorite that sells ceviche and other delicious sea fare.

Now it’s time to burn off a few calories. Make your way to the outskirts of the city and climb to the top of Cerro Manquehue, the tallest mountain in the area and get some spectacular views of Santiago and the Mapocho River.
Finally, for dinner head on over to Restaurant Ky to get a feel for how local Santiagans love to wine and dine.
