Wedding

Weddings can be an all-night affair. Instead of sitting down to an enormous meal and getting into a food coma for the rest of the night, keep the party going will small bites throughout the night.

Think little. Appetizers like crab puffs and crostini are welcome favorites, but spice up the food scene on your big night and treat guests to unexpected favorites like sushi, mini pizzas and popcorn. In addition to passed appetizers, have an open food and dessert bar.

Consider fun foods like top-your-own pizzas, crostinis, nachos, baked potatoes or make-your-own-taco bars. On the savory side, mini grilled cheese sandwiches and petite portions of tomato soup make a classic combo kids of all ages can enjoy. Sliders are another winning food. Just be sure to offer plenty of options; think about turkey, chicken and tofu as well as beef.

On the sweeter side, everyone loves a sundae bar, but step it up with a s’mores bar (if you’re outside and have access to a fire pit) or top-your-own waffle bar. Ending the night with a candy or cookie bar is another sure success. These playful foods encourage guests to nibble, munch and mingle the night away.
