With a growing number of craft breweries in the United States, many brewers opt to open up shop in unique locations to stand out. For a one-of-a-kind brewery experience, visit one of these unique breweries.

Argus Brewery

Located in the Joseph E. Schlitz distribution stables in Chicago, Argus Brewery opened in 2009. The brewery serves up craft brews with names reflecting its horse stable history including EZ Rider Pale Ale and Ironhorse.

Lunacy Brewing Company

Lunacy Brewing Company opened its doors in 2013 in an old envelope factory in Magnolia, N.J. Open Thursday–Sunday, the microbrewery has a casual atmosphere with lawn games and intimate seating.

Old Firehouse Brewery

As its name suggests, Old Firehouse Brewery is located in a 1955 firehouse in Williamsburg, Ohio. Sample firehouse-inspired brews like the Brush Fire, Old Flame or Flash Point IPA while checking out the firefighter gear decorating the tasting room.

The Church Brew Works

The Church Brew Works in Pittsburgh, Pa., is housed in an old church. The St. John the Baptist building boasts beautiful stained-glass windows and original pews. Beers pay homage to the religious roots with names like Pipe Organ Pale Ale and Pious Monk Dunkel.

The Depot Reno

Opened in 1910 as the Nevada-California-Oregon Railway headquarters, the brewery and distillery opened for business in 2014. In addition to traditional ales and spirits, visitors can sample from the dinner, brunch or happy hour menus.
