Yuengling

D.G Yuengling & Son was built in Pottsville, Pa., in 1829 and remains America’s oldest brewery. Visiting this brewery on one of their free public tours will educate visitors on the family history and brewery business. The classic lager remains popular in the New York metropolitan area and set a standard for the Yuengling family business.

Yards Brewing Company

Philadelphia’s own Yards Brewing Company was established in 1994 and has been crafting award-winning ales ever since. Brooklyn Brewery

Brooklyn Brewery was established in 1988 with a more innovative business approach. With a passion for music, culture and sustainability this company may have broken the mold. This smaller venue on the north side of Brooklyn offers tours, private events and just an overall great time. With live music, local eateries and personality, this brewery is a must visit.

Tröegs

A stylish and fun brewery to visit is Tröegs in Hershey, Pa. With a unique style, the tasting room offers a snack bar and beer pairings for visitors as well as guided tours for $5 a person. The trendy aesthetic of the brewery is enough to bring visitors around to try beer, check out the great space and buy merchandise.

Flying Fish

The first virtual brewery, Flying Fish, is also the most awarded New Jersey brewery. Originating in 1996 in Cherry Hill, N.J., the new facility can be toured, tasted and shopped. With a wide variety of IPA’s including coffee and Belgian-style Abby Dubbel, there are many to try.
