Steer clear of drowsy ballads in favor of upbeat, toe-tapping tunes. Music with a higher tempo (more beats per minute) is more likely to keep you alert. Stick to old favorites and also experiment with new songs — be sure to pre-load your playlist, not all areas have cell or radio reception.
