Already Colombia has seen historic numbers of visitors in 2022, with bookings up 148 percent compared to 2021. Additionally, at this year’s World Travel Awards, Colombia took home a bevy of top honors, including leading beach destination, leading remerging destination, leading business destination, leading cultural city, leading destination for festivities and events, and leading destination for honeymoons.
Columbia is a Dream for Nature Lovers
If you’re all about exploring a country’s natural landscapes, from beaches to rain forests and beyond, you’ll find plenty to love in Colombia. The country accounts for 10 percent of the world’s biodiversity, with the largest number of bird species, butterfly species and orchid species. It’s also the only South American country with both Caribbean and Pacific shorelines.
