Ready to book your first 2025 getaway? Consider Florence, Italy, for two can’t-miss events in January.

On Jan. 6, wrap up the holiday season with a recognition of the Feast of the Epiphany. Florence knows how to celebrate this oft-overlooked holiday with a prestigious procession beginning at Piazza Pitti. This event includes musicians, knights and religious icons. Since this event is the grand finale for the traditional Christian Christmas holiday period, you’ll still be able to catch all the holiday décor around the city, as well as find Yuletide treats at local markets.

Then, the last two weeks of January, Pitti Immagine Uomo and Pitti Immagine Bimbo are the Fashion Weeks of men’s and children’s apparel, respectively. The latter is the only such event  purely focused on children’s fashion.

When you’re ready to book your stay, look at boutique Hotel Calimala. This property sits in the Centro Storico district and, in addition to its primary building, also encompasses a 19th-century, Gothic-style building adjacent. This property offers more than 60 guestrooms and suites over five floors, along with an on-site restaurant. Meanwhile, you’re close to dining, shopping, theaters and green space.
