Tips / Travel

A major travel trend in the past few years revolved around eating your way through countries. While global cuisine is often imitated in multiple cities around the world, a particular food’s origin is the best place to try the food in its essence. Here are a few top destinations to visit for food-focused vacations.

Tokyo, Japan
It’s no surprise Tokyo would make a list of top food destinations as its world-renowned sushi is made fresh and served everywhere from fish markets to high-end restaurants.

Naples, Italy
Rome may be the first spot that comes to mind when daydreaming of Italian cuisine, but Naples’ pizza prowess is worth a detour to the coast. Fewer visitors in this town means it’s easier to pull a chair right up to the bar and taste pizza fresh out of the wood-burning ovens.

Tel Aviv, Israel
A melting pot of cultures and a central location between Asia and Europe bring a bi-continental buzz to Tel Aviv’s thriving café and street-food scenes. Hummus is available around the clock and served in countless unique varieties.

Barcelona, Spain
Spanish cuisine collides with Catalan specialties in this Mediterranean coastal city. While common staples like paella and sangria are on most menus, local dishes like pulpo (octopus), garlic mushrooms and tortilla de patata (potato omelet) add a dose of Catalan culture.

Interior Upgrades Begin Rolling Out Across United Fleet

United Airlines is in the midst of a major initiative to modernize its fleet over the next several years. After first announcing the plan in 2021, planes fitted with United’s signature interior are finally beginning to appear across the airline’s narrowbody fleet of Boeing and Airbus planes. United flyers are sure to notice these enhancements from the moment they step on board: Each new or updated plane sports remodeled seats, seatback entertainment screens for everyone, Bluetooth connectivity and more, all adding up to a better experience on every journey.
