Glossier is a beauty skincare line aimed at the trendy, fashion-forward woman. Its sleek packaging and feminine pink touches make it perfect for social media marketing and promotions, which it has done well. Glossier was started by beauty editors who wanted to create products based on the hundreds they’ve written about, tried and tested — making them experts on what works and doesn’t.
The products are aimed at the basics for skincare, including makeup. True to its name, “glossy” or glowing, dewy skin is the end goal for each product. The products claim to instantly optimize skin tone, texture and hydration levels.
The company is simplistic, offering only what they deem the essentials — about 18 separate products and a few accessories. Prices range from $12–65. depending on the product or package. Most of their skincare products are in the range of $25.
The most popular product is a brow mascara called Boy Brow that sells for $16 and comes in four different shades.
Sticking to its beauty editor roots, Glossier also runs a beauty blog called “Into the Gloss,” giving customers and readers inside information on beauty products, interviews and more.
