There’s a new axe in town! Urban Axes recently opened its doors in the up-and-coming part of Kensington in Philadelphia. From the outside, it looks like an old, abandoned warehouse, but once you step inside, the vibrant energy from the staff and patrons fills the concrete space. The trained staff is friendly and will be with you every step of the way, so everyone can fully enjoy the experience safely.

It’s great for leagues, parties, groups and corporate events. Urban Axes offers seasonal leagues at $120 for an eight-week period. At $20 per person, per hour, you can always walk in to practice or release some of that pent up energy. Keep in mind: Only certain days and times are walk-in welcome.

Walking-in hour:

  • Wednesday 6–9 p.m.
  • Thursday 6–9 p.m.
  • Sunday 12–4 p.m.

Catered events are also welcomed on site. Groups can even bring their own snacks and beverages. The on-site refrigerators enable you to keep beer on ice.

This trendy and newly introduced sport is also a fun and exciting way to get together with friends or meet new ones, and a great way to spend time on a weekday evening. If you haven’t yet, make your way to Urban Axes and bring your “A” game.

United flyers are sure to notice these enhancements from the moment they step on board: Each new or updated plane sports remodeled seats, seatback entertainment screens for everyone, Bluetooth connectivity and more, all adding up to a better experience on every journey.
