Situated in Quebec’s Laurentians region, about an hour and a half drive northwest of Montreal, Mont-Tremblant is most known for its ski resort village. The quaint city is a perfect destination for outdoor lovers, shopping fanatics and foodies.

Start your morning with breakfast to go from Bistro Au Grain de Café. Enjoy a coffee and pastry for about $5–7. Spend some time exploring the hiking trails, accessible for all skill levels. Download a trail map on the website. Browse the many shops located throughout the village. Hop on the complimentary cabriolet for a quick ride from the bottom to the top of the steep village.
Sample a traditional Canadian dish at Smoke’s Poutinerie. Hand-cut fries are topped with cheese curds and gravy. Pork, chicken, beef and vegetarian options are available. An order costs about $10. For a bird’s-eye view of the village, take a scenic gondola ride to the highest peak in the Laurentians. Here you’ll find more hiking trails and a 360-degree observation tower. The round-trip ride starts at $17.99 for an adult.

Try your luck at the Casino de Mont-Tremblant. Located a short gondola or shuttle ride from the main village, the casino offers table games and machines, in addition to its fine-dining restaurant and various meeting spaces.

Insta FeedAre You Ready for the Final Switch to Real ID?
Yesterday, TSA began enforcing new identification guidelines, a change that’s been a long-time coming. Now, travelers must show a REAL ID-compliant, state-issued ID in order to fly on domestic flights, in lieu of a non-compliant driver’s license (some other forms of identification, such as passports, will still be acceptable).
