The Irish capital has a reputation as a great place to party, mainly down to the lively pubs which seem to be around every corner. Here are five of the best for you to check out.
The Brazen Head
The oldest pub in Ireland has been serving up cold beer since 1198, and it’s still going strong today. Soak up some of the nightly live music as you tuck into some steamed Irish mussels washed down with a cold pint of Guinness.
Toner’s
Another traditional spot that used to be a grocery store, Toner’s has been open since 1818. Try to get a seat in the snug by the front, a private area that has its own door.
Porterhouse
Spread over three levels, this place only serves beers made by the microbrewery of the same name. If you want to deviate from the classic Guinness and whisky chaser, this is the place to do it. They serve good food to boot.
Dakota
If dark wood interiors and traditional glass features are getting a bit dull, shake things up at Dakota. This trendy spot has a warehouse feel and attracts a cool crowd.
Long Hall
It wouldn’t be a trip to Dublin without having a drink at Long Hall. This old Victorian gin palace has it all, from the friendly bar staff to colorful regulars. Stop in to admire the old chandeliers and mirrored bar.
