Tips / Destination

The specialty coffee movement is making a name for itself in Colorado Springs. This somewhat sleepy city at the base of the Rockies boasts some truly incredible coffee spots to stop in for a sip.

Wayfinder Coffee Co.
One of the new kids on the block, Wayfinder already cemented itself as a top spot in town for great coffee. Its eclectic, travel-themed decor is a favorite among visitors, and its coffee is always brewed to perfection. It also boasts some delicious snacks made on site and an incredible selection of wine in the evenings.

The Wild Goose Meeting House
The Wild Goose excels at the third wave coffee approach using a modbar system. It’s popular among students, artistic types and businessmen alike thanks not only to its perfectly brewed espresso, but a scrumptious menu of delectable breakfast bites.

The Perk Downtown
The Perk Downtown is a Springs staple and one of the largest and longest-standing coffee shops in town. Its freshly roasted beans are locally sourced and they routinely send the baristas for training in Seattle, the nation’s top city for coffee roasting. The busy atmosphere is a lot to take in, but it’s the perfect place to mingle with locals while enjoying a pick-me-up.

Story Coffee
Story Coffee is dubbed the world’s first “Tiny House Coffee Shop.” It’s located downtown, right by Acacia Park, inside a tiny house, making it equal parts charming and accessible. There’s not a lot of seating room, but you’ll be missing out if you don’t grab one of the signature oat milk lattes before strolling downtown. A portion of the proceeds also goes toward helping the homeless.
