Cheers to California Wine Month! In honor of the month-long celebration of wine, consider checking out these wine festivals taking place throughout the Golden State.
Originally held more than 80 years ago, the annual festival in San Joaquin County now takes place over four days. Enjoy tastings from local wineries, plus family-friendly activities at the event. This year’s festival takes place Sept. 12–15.
Paso Robles Wine Tasting Tour: Fresno
On Sept. 12, Fresno hosts a walk-around wine tasting, featuring selections from more than 40 Paso Robles wineries. The ticketed event takes place 5:30–8 p.m.
This free festival was first held in 1908. Taking place on Sept. 14, 12–6 p.m., the event includes grape stomping, wine tastings, live music, an array of vendors and a Kid’s Fun Zone.
Sonoma County Wine Celebration
Formerly the Sonoma County Wine Auction, this popular three-day event includes an opening reception, party and live auction. Add-on events include exclusive wine tours and special dining experiences. The event will be held Sept. 19–21.
7th Annual Pacific Wine & Food Classic
This popular event in Orange County celebrates all things food and wine. Take in ocean views while sampling food from 40 restaurants as well as dozens of wine, beer, cocktail and mocktail options.
Valley of the Moon Vintage Festival
On Sept. 26–28, this Sonoma Valley heritage festival celebrates harvest season through a packed lineup of grape stomping, a harvest dinner, blessing of the grapes, live music, 5K run, movie night, wine tasting and other family-friendly activities.
