The marketplace seems flooded lately with portable phone chargers, devices aimed at helping you keep your phone or tablet juiced up even when you’re nowhere near a power outlet. They’re great tools for long plane rides, car trips or for hiking and backpacking.

Outdoor Tech created a stand-out charger called Kodiak Plus, one of three charger options in their Kodiak line.

This waterproof power bank is incredibly sturdy, so you won’t have to worry about dropping it, dunking it, spilling on it or leaving it in the rain — as long as your device isn’t there for those events. It’s shock proof and submersible up to 30 feet for three minutes. Even better, it’s dust proof, with a well -itted covering for its ports.

Though it’s not the smallest or thinnest charger out there, it offers impressive power for its size: It packs a 10,000mAh battery that can juice up a tablet entirely, a rare quality. It can also charge the GoPro eight times and the iPhone four times, all with a single charge — pretty impressive.

With a price point of $80-100, the Kodiak Plus isn’t a cheap buy, but it’s a worthwhile investment if you’re in the market for a charger.
