Avid travel photographers have bent over backwards searching for the best way to capture the magnifying angles and unique views on their journeys. With the introduction of a new flexible, bendable tripod, photogs won´t have to do any of the bending anymore.
Joby´s GorillaPod is a DSLR tripod featuring three flexible appendages that can contour around any surface
The legs of the Joby Gorilla tripod are able to flex and bend around any structure, like a tree branch or light pole. An optional ball head accessory allows for quick attachment capability and a rapid transition from portrait to landscape shots. Three round rubber feet provide stability no matter where the tripod is based, and a quarter-inch 20 screw allows DSLR devices to securely mount to the apparatus.
The tripod weighs less than half a pound and provides versatility for photographers of all levels. The GorillaPod also easily folds and stores in carry-on luggage without adding noticeable extra weight. With the optional ball head attachment, the weight increases slightly to 0.75 pounds. The tripod can support the weight of a DSLR camera of up to 6.6 pounds.
The Joby Gorilla tripod is available for purchase on Joby´s website for $49.95, and the site offers free shipping and handling. The optional ball head attachment is available for $30.
