Trends / Unique Itineraries & Tours

There is a time between graduation and the “real world,” which many people feel is their last chance of freedom. Whether you have a job lined up or not, take advantage of the three months you have by traveling, as you may not find a better opportunity.

Think of this as one last hurrah or the study abroad trip you never had. Yes, most post-grads may be broke as they just bought the most expensive piece of paper in their life, but you don’t need to fly first class or stay in a 5-star hotel. Travel with a few friends and you will have the time of your life, after all you just spent the last 12 years in school.
Here are some of the best destinations to travel post-grad.

Brazil

Backpack through Brazil, cross through the Amazon rain orest in Manaus and stand at the top of the Sugarloaf Mountain for unforgettable views of Rio de Janeiro.

Southeast Asia

While flights may be expensive, you can really save once you’re there. Immerse yourself in a completely new culture, try new foods and meet new people. Explore ornate Buddha temples in Bangkok or the beaches of Ko Samui.

London

Spend time in London and enjoy visiting tourist sights such as Big Ben and Abbey Road. Stop by Buckingham Palace — maybe you’ll be lucky enough to be in the graces of a real-life Queen. From London, travel to nearby cities like Paris, Barcelona, Milan or perhaps enjoy a waffle in Belgium. Create your own Euro trip.

Las Vegas

If you can’t travel across the country, stay in the United States. Spend some graduation money on bottle service or bet an extra $5 in Blackjack.

Someone wise once said, traveling is the only thing you can buy that will make you richer.

Massive Resort Planned for Florida’s Forgotten Coast

Known as Florida’s Forgotten Coast, this stretch of the Florida Panhandle is often overlooked for more well-known destinations in the state, such as Panama City Beach, Miami and Tampa. But the region’s quiet and laid-back atmosphere slowly draws travelers wishing to escape the crowds and high prices of Florida’s other cities, and one hospitality brand just announced plans to bring a 55-acre resort and community to the area.
