Pinewood Forrest, an innovative mixed-use community south of Atlanta, is a 234-acre master planned residential development adjacent to Pinewood Atlanta Studios in Fayetteville, Ga. Envisioned as a haven for storytellers and creatives, the new urbanist community is a contemporary concept in suburban living.

The development team, led by Fayetteville leaders and Chick-fil-A chief executive officer Dan Cathy, visualize to create a global magnet for ambitious doers in entertainment, the arts and business — for those with a craving for inspiration to be constantly nourished, where everyone is set to be the best version of themselves. This is what Pinewood Forrest will be, a community for growth and ingenuity to bring stories to life. The community will be an extraordinary place for the next generation of believers.

In order to maintain a thriving community with unique stories, certain values are expected to be upheld, laying the foundation for the vision and guiding residents, guests and business owners: Honor everyone, be generous, celebrate originality, inspire creativity, forge relationships, witness wonder, enrich lives, do right and have fun.

The urbanism community will include more than 1,200 residences and 270,000 square feet of office, restaurant and retail space. Village Square, a park and concert venue, will be in the heart of the development, surrounded by three residential districts: the Woodlands District, the Craft District and the Garden District. Each district will offer housing at all price points, with single-family homes and carriage houses on the higher end, while cottages, tree houses and tiny houses are geared toward millennials and empty nesters.

The development team also plans for a 90–100-room boutique hotel and a 200-room extended-stay hotel. There will be about 15 miles of walking trails and sidewalks designed around the parks and green spaces to keep existing groves of trees. Other proposed features include community gardens, pools, playgrounds, a dog park, shared meeting spaces, a wellness center and a movie theater.
