Summer has come to an end, but that doesn’t mean all your fun in the sun is over. Head to the beach this fall to soak in the autumn weather and get your last dose of vitamin D before winter. Here are some of the best reasons to make the trip.
No Crowds
Beaches, especially the popular ones, can get overcrowded and crazy during the summer. In fall, you can get the whole stretch of sand to yourself. Nothing is more relaxing than a long walk along the shore as the waves crash.
Beautiful Weather
Summer isn’t the only time for beautiful weather. There are plenty of sunny days in the fall. You may need more layers, but a nice ocean breeze never hurt anybody.
Picnics Allowed
Some beaches have strict restrictions on food and drinks being permitted, especially on beaches with pay-for entry. These restrictions loosen up in the fall, with less people around. Lay out a blanket and have a nice picnic with food and drinks.
Dogs Allowed
On the same token, many beaches restrict dog access during the summer months. During the fall, you can bring your furry friend along for a play date. Get some exercise and fresh air by having a game of catch.
Perfect Date
Want a free, charming and perfect fall date idea? Take your date/loved one/spouse to the beach on a sunny fall day to knock them off their feet. Sure, it might be over played, but it’s popular for a reason.
