Following a long, bumpy roadtrip in Kenya in 2014 that left her hair in a less-than-desired state, Grace Eleyae was inspired to create a line of specialty products to protect hair from damage.
Her first product, called Slap (satin-lined cap) was designed to keep hair moisturized, protected and knot free during travel — since then, more than 100,000 caps have sold.
These chic head wraps have a snug but comfortable elastic band to keep them in place no matter how much you toss and turn in bed or on a bus, train or plane. They’re not exclusively for sleeping either, as they’re also attractive enough to wear out and about, and Warm Slaps are available to protect from the cold.
The caps are for anyone, but work especially well for those with damaged hair from over dying or styling with heat products. They’ve been featured by the likes of Refinery 29, InStyle, Cosmpolitan and The Today Show.
The innovative caps inspired luxurious, moisture-retaining pillowcases that, like the caps, reduce breakage, damage and hair loss while you sleep. Browse the Grace Eleyae website for a full line of Slaps, turbans, pillowcases, headbands and more.
