Before embarking on a day filled with outdoor adventures, start your morning at the popular SunUp Bakery, where the coffee is hot and the service is friendly. The breakfast spot offers breakfast sandwiches from $3.50, a variety of freshly made muffins and house-made granola for $3.75.

Take a trip up the mountain at Killington Resort with a gondola ride. Costing $25, the experience involves a mile-and-a-quarter ride in an enclosed eight-person gondola cabin to the top of 4,241-foot Killington Peak. Once the gondola arrives at the peak, take a walk to the Peak Lodge for incredible views.

While at the top of the peak, enjoy a dining experience with a view at Peak Lodge, serving fresh deli sandwiches from $15, warming soups like chipotle apple turkey chili and vegetarian pumpkin chili for $7 and burgers from $15.

Spend the day skiing at Killington Resort, offering 22 lifts and 155 trails of varying difficulties. Lift tickets start from $51 for the day. If you want to get to know the Killington trail network but don’t enjoy skiing, take a 20–30-minute snowcat-drawn sleigh ride for $10.

Cap off your day of outdoor adventure with dinner at McGrath’s Irish Pub, offering entrees from $8, before enjoying live music, drinks and dancing at the legendary Wobbly Barn Nightclub.
