Looking for a new spot for your African safari this summer? A new luxury safari camp is set to open in Lower Zambezi National Park, offering more than 3,000 feet of Zambezi River frontage and a modern aesthetic sure to appeal to even the most discerning traveler. Created by African Bush Camps, the new camp, christened Lolebezi, opens June 1, promising immersive safari experiences imbued with Zambian traditions and culture.

Lolebezi is a dream setting for travelers to experience the abundance of Africa and the beauty and power of the Zambezi River,” said Beks Ndlovu, founder, African Bush Camps. As [African Bush Camps] expands its expertise in Zambia with a second lodge, our newest destination continues to redefine the safari experience with opportunities for adventure, learning, abundant wildlife amidst pristine wilderness and pure comfort designed to sustainably blend with its environment.”

While the camp offers luxury experiences aplenty, including outdoor yoga sessions, spa treatments, private picnics and open-air film showings, it’s the off-property experiences that guests won’t want to miss. Each guest will enjoy the opportunity to partake in twice-daily activities, ranging from local-led game drives and walking safaris to river boating and canoeing — all of which allow guests to get up close and personal with an abundance of wildlife.

The exclusive property only hosts 16 travelers at a time, with its four suites and two family suites, all of which include private plunge pools and other private outdoor spaces. Public spaces include an all-day café, pizza bar, game room and infinity-edge pool.

Experience Lolebezi for yourself with special opening rates starting at $990 per person per night, available through November.

Are You Ready for the Final Switch to Real ID?

Yesterday, TSA began enforcing new identification guidelines, a change that’s been a long-time coming. Now, travelers must show a REAL ID-compliant, state-issued ID in order to fly on domestic flights, in lieu of a non-compliant driver’s license (some other forms of identification, such as passports, will still be acceptable).
