Football might have overtaken America’s pastime on TV, but nothing compares to watching baseball live in the stadium. Of course, not all ballparks are created equal, so we picked the best ones for kicking back and catching a game.
PNC Park, Pittsburgh
The Pirates play in one of the best stadiums for close-up action. PNC Park is tiny with just 38,796 seats, but the upper deck (two stories) is just 88 feet away from the field. An old-school feel with modern amenities and a beautiful view of the Pittsburgh skyline make this one of baseball’s hidden gems.
Camden Yards, Baltimore
Like PNC, Camden Yards is a blend of old and new, situated right in the middle of downtown Baltimore. The park opened in 1992, changing the way ballparks were integrated into the city, in addition to serving local food like Boog Powell’s BBQ (one of the best stadium eats you can find).
AT&T Field, San Francisco
San Francisco is known for its food and technology, both of which are present in the Giant’s home field since 2000. Fans can even sip on wine from the vineyards near the city. In addition to hosting three World Series in the past decade, Barry Bonds famously hit many of his homeruns into McCovey Cove in right field.
Wrigley Field, Chicago
Let’s be honest, Wrigley Field is the Cub’s saving grace, and even then it’s nothing pretty. America’s second oldest ballpark is the quintessential baseball experience thanks to the atmosphere of its fans. Renovations will be finished in 2019, but until then you can enjoy the retro stylings and ivy wall.
Coors Field, Denver
Denver is home to “Hitters Park,” named for its high-scoring games. Situated 5,280 feet above sea level, Coors Field’s thin air makes the ball harder and drier, allowing them to travel 9 percent faster and easier to hit out of the park. Fans on a budget can get seats for as low as $4 in the upper deck’s Rockpile.
Fenway Park, Boston
This might be the most famous stadium in baseball thanks to its many idiosyncrasies. Whether it’s the real grass, its terrible wooden seats or the Green Monster, every baseball fan needs to try a Fenway Frank and watch the Red Sox play.

United Continues Its Global Expansion
