Art Galleries in Sicily

Check out these great galleries to get your art fix during your trip to Sicily.

Galleria Quadrifoglio opened in 1974 near Syracuse and now features works by Italian artists such as Giuliano Giancotti, Renzo Marinelli and Gino Corsanini. Check the diary for details of the regular special exhibitions.

Another Syracuse gallery is Museo Nazionale Di Palazzo Bellomo. There are both paintings and sculptures at this museum, dating from Medieval and modern periods.

Galleria Lo Magno takes its name from founder Giuseppe Lo Magno, and opened in 2003. Since then the director managed to collect a great number of impressive works that makes this place in Ragusa well worth a visit.

Visitors to Modica will find Dir’Arte Di Francesco Di Rosolinia a great place to spend a few hours. The focus is on local Sicilian artists as well as those from other parts of Italy.

Contemporary art fans will love the Francesco Pantaleone Arte Contemporanea in Palermo. With paintings, photographs and sculpture, there is a great variety of work on show from Sicilian and international artists.

If you are in Bagheria, near Palermo, stop in at Drago Artecontemporanea. Graphics and illustration dominate, and there is a good program of regular events.
