Looking for the next destination to cross off your list this May? We’ve compiled a list of spots where the temperature is not too hot, not too cold, but just right this time of year. Enjoy your pickings, Goldilocks.

Greece

Avoid crazy summer crowds and heat, but still enjoy warm weather by visiting Greece in May. The lovely weather makes it perfect for island hopping and beach parties alike.

Brazil

May is considered low season in Brazil, and generally has good weather and smaller crowds. May is also prime time to explore the rainforests, mountains, jungles and beaches of the diverse destination.

South Africa

May is one of the best months of the year to go on an African safari. It is the start of the dry season and the animals come out of hibernation this time of year. It is also a little less touristy.

Sweden

If you want the best of sunshine and wildflower season, head to Sweden in May where the sun shines as much as 18 hours. You’ll have no lack of time for hiking and outdoor activities in the countryside.

Venice

Experience the comfortable, warm start of the summer in Venice, with slightly smaller crowds, budding vineyards and outdoor markets abound.

Argentina

May is actually considered late autumn in Argentina, and Mendoza’s wine country is lit up with vibrant foliage to match. If you’re looking for a cool, fall refresher before the summer heat kicks in back home, Argentina is right up your alley.
