Crater Lake: Oregon
Located in southern central Oregon, Crater Lake is the deepest lake in the United States. Part of Crater Lake National Park, the lake area features skiing and snowshoeing in the winter months and hiking and boat tours during the summer.
Finger Lakes: New York
The collection of long, thin lakes in New York are known as the Finger Lakes. In addition to year-round outdoor activities, the region is known for its numerous vineyards.
Lake Superior: Michigan, Minnesota, Wisconsin
A lake vacation list wouldn’t be complete without an appearance of one of the Great Lakes. The largest of the Great Lakes, Lake Superior borders Ontario to the north. The lake is ideal for a fishing excursion.
Lake Tahoe: California, Nevada
Situated on the California/Nevada border, the large freshwater lake is known for its beaches and skiing. Lake Tahoe is most popular for its prime ski conditions.
