The smartwatch is the ultimate smartphone accessory. It can tell time and, of course, provide important notifications straight to your wrist. Many of today’s models perform novel tricks like enabling you to search the internet at the sound of your voice, track your exercise over GPS and let you check-out at the grocery store without reaching for your wallet.
The Apple Watch 2
This watch is the best smartwatch on the market currently. It’s water-resistant, meaning it’s more durable than most of the devices. There’s GPS to make exercise easier, and it comes with the newest watchOS 3 software. In terms of design, it’s similar to the og Apple Watch but a bit pricier.
Samsung Gear S3
Despite lacking original apps, the Samsung Gear S3 is another of the better smartwatches. The controls and super AMOLED screen from the Gear S2 are back, along with the addition of a GPS. While it looks more executive than the Gear S2, it includes a protected build and can last up to three days before needing a charge. Recently, Samsung made the watch compatible on iOS.
LG Watch Sport
The LG Watch Sport is Google’s Android phone on your wrist. It’s the smartwatch to beat right now because it’s a full-featured fitness tracker. While other smartwatches have fitness tracker capabilities that amount to logging runs and calories burned, this watch tracks your strength training, too. It’s one of the few smartwatches that support an LTE connection, so if you insert a SIM card into the back, it can make and receive calls and data. While it doesn’t have the best battery life, despite its larger size, apps are being announced for Google’s newly refreshed platform.
Asus ZenWatch 3
If you’re in the market for an Android Wear smartwatch, the Asus ZenWatch 3 should be at the top of your list. It has a great display, useful hardware buttons and an excellent battery life. It’s styling may not be for everyone and it’s lacking in a few sensors but the company did an excellent job designing something that resembles a premium watch more than a piece of life technology.
