Travelers who spend a lot of time in the Great Outdoors might be interested to learn about the new, ultra-light tent from Big Agnes. The Copper Spur HV UL 2 is a three-season, full-featured shelter meant to withstand pretty tough conditions.
The high volume tent pole design allows for more space without increasing weight, so it’s portable and easy to take with you on a trip. The fly and floor are developed with silicone treated rip-stop nylon with a waterproof polyurethane coating, so you won’t have to worry about wear or tearing it up on the go.
The poles are also put through a green anodizing process that reduces wastewater so buying one sort of helps the environment. With pre-cut lines and equipped tensioners, the tent goes up in a pinch. Inside, you’ll find multiple mesh pockets for your gear and electronics, along with two doors and a mesh top that lets you view the stars.
With 29 square feet available inside you can fit up to three of your friends. It’s a little on the pricey side, at $449.95, but it seems to hold up well and could be a great piece of gear for someone who frequently travels with a tent and needs something that’ll pack quickly into a piece of luggage.
The tent is available online at the Big Agnes website.
