The Hagley Museum and Library in Wilmington, Del., offers visitors a Bike and Hike series. The event series is a perfect way to spend a summer evening with biking, taking in beautiful scenery and enjoying a brew.

Bike and Hike runs every Wednesday evening 5–8 p.m., through Aug. 31. Stroll, jog or bike the three-mile loop from the Hagley Visitor Center to Eleutherian Mills and back. Participants have the opportunity to explore the picturesque 235-acre property not normally open to visitors.

To add to the fun, on select days, Dogfish Head Brewery offers beers along with special menu items from the Belin House Organic Café on Workers’ Hill. Bike, Hike and Brews takes place June 22, July 13, Aug. 3 and Aug. 24. On July 6 and Aug. 10, Woodside Creamery will be at Bike and Hike providing a selection of their ice cream for purchase. The last Wednesday of the month is Dog Days of Summer, where guests are encouraged to bring their pets. Don’t forget leashes and clean-up bags.

Admission is $2 per person, or free for Hagley Museum and Library members. Bike and Hike is weather permitting, so be sure to check the Hagley website for details.
