Can’t pick between a hiking trip or a foodie trip across Europe? Now, you don’t have to choose. European hiking tours from Hedonistic Hiking allow you to get in plenty of hiking, while also exploring all of the continent’s best eats, over the course of a single trip.
Hedonistic Hiking offers group hiking tours incorporating food and wine experiences, with various levels of hiking or walking and gourmet experiences ranging from dining at Michelin-starred restaurants to attending cooking demonstrations to visiting regional food producers. During a walking tour, travelers walk 4–9 miles per day, while staying in local boutique hotels. Most of the hiking tours focus on Italy, but others also cross into France, Slovenia and Austria.
One of the tours available for 2023 is the eight-night Tuscan Harvest tour, with stops at a two-Michelin-starred restaurant, a Chianti butcher shop, a Chianti vineyard and pasta-making class. Similarly, the eight-night Jewels of Piedmont tour explores the slow food of the region, with truffle hunting, artisanal chocolate tastings, cooking classes and, of course, that Michelin-starred dining experience. Both tours start at $3,340 per person.
Don’t fancy a trip to Europe this year? Hedonistic Hiking also offers select Australian tours, including Victoria, the Grampians, the Victorian Alps, Great Ocean Walk and other regions.
