Reviews / Restaurant

Bloco C came highly recommended by other travelers, so I was excited to try it on my most recent trip to Brasilia. It turned out to be one of those restaurants that delivered great food, but came up lacking in almost every other way.

Upon arrival, my friend and I knew we had a bit of a wait ahead of us as a line had already formed out front, to be expected given the popularity of the place. It was a good 30 minutes before we finally got a table. The interior of the restaurant is nice, as well as the outside terrace, but the tables are squished too tightly together. It was difficult to get around.

The wait staff was cordial, but never seemed to want to go above and beyond to make a good impression. They weren’t prepared to offer a suggestion, so I went ahead and tried the tuna while my friend went with what I think was a steak tartar. Both of them turned out to be pretty great. The wine list was quite extensive and the few we tried all tasted great.

While the food was good, the atmosphere left something to be desired, so much so I don’t see it as a place I would return with so many other wonderful options available in the city.
