Busiest Air Routes in the Americas

A new survey by Routesonline shows the busiest air routes in the Americas, and the top spot does not include the United States.

That spot goes to a one-hour flight between the two most populous cities in Brazil, São Paolo and Rio de Janeiro. The hop has around 110 flights per day, or one every 13 minutes.

The second-busiest was Mexico City and Cancún, with almost 3.7 million people taking the 1300-kilometer trip last year.
