This amazing bar sells everything on the menu for just 19 pesos ($1), from beers to tacos to tequila shots.
With prices like that it’s not hard to see why Cerveceria Chapultepec is so popular. Situated in the lively Tlaquepaque neighborhood of Guadalajara, this first-floor bar is busy every night of the week.
The beers run the gamut of the standard Mexican lagers, and the food is bar snacks like tacos and prawn rolls.
On a Friday and Saturday night the place is rocking, with music blaring and football matches on various TVs. There is no dance floor, which means you’ll have to go elsewhere to get your groove on, but it’s a great place to warm up for a big night out.
It can be hard to get a table if you’re in a big group, so think about booking ahead. If you can’t get in, you’re only around the corner from plenty of other bars and restaurants in the neighborhood.
If you want to go for a night out in Guadalajara without braving the dodgier areas in the middle of town, Tlaquepaque is a good option. It’s safe to walk around at any time of day or night, so you can let loose without worrying.
