Beloved kitchen gadget brand Chef’n recently collaborated with Food52 to launch its new handheld Chef’n Juicer. Home cooks have used the previous model for years, known as a superior product that produces 20 percent more juice than traditional juicers when used with limes, lemons and oranges. The Food52-exclusive model produces the same great results, but has a more minimalistic style for those that like kitchen gadgets to reflect their aesthetic.
The Chef’n Juicer features a dual-gear mechanism. Just put your citrus fruit inside, cut-side down and squeeze. It’s made of food-grade plastic and stainless steel and — best yet — it’s dishwasher safe, so there’s no annoying fidgeting with your food gadgets to get all the nooks and crannies clean.
The Food52-exclusive Chef’n Juicer is available now for $28, plus $9 shipping and can also be added to your wedding or gift registry.
It can be combined with loads of other cool kitchen gadgets from the Seattle-based Chef’n brand, founded by a lifelong foodie who originally launched his business in Pike Place Market. The 30-year-old company offers other inventive items like mini ice cream sandwich makers ($36) and dressing emulsifiers ($38). And, if you find the Food 52-exclusive Chef’n Juicer is a bit too much of a workout, Chef’n also offers a tabletop citrus press for $80 that’s a space-saving, hand-operated alternative to an electric juicer.

Barcelona has seen a recent influx of craft cocktails bars within the past five years or so, and Sant Antoni seems to be one of the city’s epicenters of such swanky watering holes. Amid the crisscross streets, organic grocery stores and the soon-to-open, recently renovated Sant Antoni market is Bitter, an inconspicuous cocktail bar where there’s more than meets the eye.
