Craft Distilleries in Seattle

Food & Drink

Seattle is known primarily as a beer town: The city’s outstanding — and growing collection of —breweries produces some of the best beer in the country, consistently winning awards on a national stage.

But distilleries are coming into their own here, too. The Northwest’s distillery scene is on the rise in general, and Seattle is leading the charge. As with much of the food and beverage scene, Seattle’s distillers often use Washington grown grains and other ingredients, and they take great care in their craft, producing outstanding liquors that are becoming more common in the area’s cocktail bars as well as on grocery store shelves.

Many of these distilleries offer tasting opportunities within sight of the production area. Among the best are 2bar Spirits, BroVo Spirits, Fremont Mischief, Glass Distillery, OOLA Distillery and Sun Liquor Distillery. The latter is also a bar that features its own spirits in an array of exciting cocktails, widely respected as some of the best in the city.

For a complete list of breweries in Seattle, visit the Washington Distilleries website. And for more a detailed breakdown of the best distilleries located throughout Washington State, check out Seattle Met’s article on the topic.
