Take a culinary cycling tour in Italy to work off the delectable cuisine you sample. Tourissimo offers four bike tours through various locations in Italy accompanied by popular chefs for 2018. Each tour explores the iconic ingredients and cuisine of that region.
There are four main pillars for each trip: combining food and territory, interacting with engaging chefs, visiting routes with significant production areas and rides designed for cyclists of all skill levels.
Sicily (May 5–12): This tour will be co-hosted by two award-winning chefs from California, Chef Traci Des Jardins and Chef Mary Sue Milliken. Learn and cook Sicilian recipes, tour UNESCO World Heritage Sites and take part in wine tastings.
Emilia Romagna (June 4–10): The Emilia edition is co-hosted by Chefs Brooke Williamson and Nick Roberts, spouses and business partners. Williamson won a recent season of Top Chef. Sample Italian delicacies, explore the Apennine Mountains and indulge in thermal waters.
Emilia Romagna (June 12–18): The Romagna edition is co-hosted by New York Times bestselling author Larry Olmsted and Chef Claudette Zepeda Wilkins. Visit the food and wine trail hills of Forli and Cesena, museums and beaches.
Piedmont (Oct. 1–7): Chef Benjamin Cohn and Chef Marc Meyer take guests through the hilly Piedmont region. Guests will visit a UNESCO World Heritage Site, cycle through medieval villages and dine at three Michelin-starred restaurants.
Pricing varies by tour. Check the website for more information about itineraries, prices and to book.
