Hip-hop lovers can now sail the seas with DJ Khaled, after the rapper announced he will host his own cruise this summer. The Summerfest Cruise will set sail from Miami June 30 onboard Norwegian Sky.
While music-themed cruises are nothing new, often featuring everything from jazz to classic rock, Summerfest is unique in that it is geared toward the millennial age group, featuring electric music with a heavy emphasis on fashion and pop culture. The cruise also marks the first at-sea performance for DJ Khaled and the other featured artists, such as Future, A$AP Rocky, Lil Wayne and Migos.
Guests can enjoy everything from music and fashion to sports, gaming and interactive technology, as well as ports of call including Nassau and Grand Stirrup Cay in the Bahamas, before returning to Miami July 3.
“They don’t want us to be on a cruise — so we are going on the most major cruise the world has ever seen — hosted by me and my roster of superstar friends,” said DJ Khaled. “But don’t get it twisted — Summerfest Cruise 2017 is more than just a cruise, it’s a movement. A movement of good vibes and creative energy. A movement that connects the worlds of music, fashion, culture, technology and design. We’re going to give you everything — the dopest live concerts, spectacular fashion pop-ups, enlightening panels and presentations — this will be one for the books. Don’t play yourself. Reward yourself.”
Cabin prices for The Summerfest range from $721 to $1,279 per person and are available to book.
