If you want a pen that will stand up to the rigors of the road, the EDC Pocket Bolt pen could be the perfect companion for your travels.

There are three versions of the pen, all made from rugged metal and come with bolt action fixings. This stops the pen from accidentally opening in your bag by locking the refill in position when it is retracted.

All three versions are 10.2 centimeters long, and are available in a number of different finishes with either a hexagonal or circular barrel. The Pocket version has no attachments, the Keychain version has a ring to attach to your keychain and the Clip version can clip onto your pocket.

If you want something a bit different, opt for the Pro version which comes with millimeter and inch scales laser engraved onto the barrel. This options adds $9 to the cost of the pen, but it looks pretty cool.

The high-quality pens are functional and will make you stand out from the crowd. The good thing is they work with standard ink refills, so you won’t have to break the bank to keep using them.

A successful Kickstarter campaign saw the pens smash their funding target, and orders will ship in July 2016. After that point, you can place your order with Blank Forces, the company behind the pens.
