Climate change becomes a bigger threat to nature and destinations people love visiting. Everyone’s favorite island nations are slowly vanishing due to the rising sea levels and animals are being poached or killed for their habitats.

The Everglades in southern Florida is on the verge of disappearing, threatened by human and natural factors. Travelers make the journey more often than ever due to these concerns. From climate change, the sea level is rising and changing how wildlife lives. Non-native animals, such as the Burmese python, are invading the area and killing native animals. On the human side, housing developments, hydrological developments and poaching all pose threats to The Everglades.

The Dead Sea is a popular site for travelers to visit due to the healing abilities of the soil and the high salinity of the water. The high salinity is the reason it is so easy for people to float. It is also the world’s lowest elevation on land. The majority of water in The Dead Sea is used for agriculture and drinking water in nearby countries. At this point, The Dead Sea is evaporating faster than it can be replenished. Experts believe it will one day run out of fresh water, leaving behind only salt. It seems inevitable for this to happen because of the amount of water being taken out. Travelers should go now if they want to experience The Dead Sea.

There are several other places around the world that are endangered and more are to come as climate change worsens. Their popularity will rise as travelers make their way to the locations in hopes of seeing them before they’re gone.
