Nashville is a must-visit U.S. destination, highly recommended for anyone looking to explore a new, bustling destination with mass appeal. Trust the more than 90 people per day relocating to the city.
Nashville is about music and songwriters. To get a taste of the tunes, check out a songwriter round-up, where songwriters share the stories and sing many of the hit songs they’ve created. Hearing the voices and learning the stories behind some of country music’s most popular hits adds a new level to the listening experience. The Bluebird offers just such an experience.
Make your way to the honky-tonks along Broadway for drinks and live music, and be sure to visit the historic Ryman Auditorium (ryman.com) and the Country Music Hall of Fame.
Also make time for some food and drink. For authentic barbecue and mouthwatering delights, visit Edley’s, Peg Leg Porker or Martin’s Bar-B-Que. Sample the food with local brews from Tennessee Brew Works and Black Abbey Brewing Company.
For more innovative gourmet cuisine, check out 5th and Taylor for the Sunday dinner favorites of Chef Daniel Lindley; Chauhan Ale & Masala House, helmed by Chopped judge Maneet Chauhan; or the classic stand-by, Capitol Grille, at The Hermitage Hotel. And that’s only the beginning of discovering Nashville’s many dimensions.
