Recording your vacation activities can sometimes be problematic. Smartphone cameras record lower-quality images and professional camcorders are usually large and clunky. Finding a high-quality recording device that can handle movement and turmoil is a tall order. However, Panasonic released a wearable recording device fit for capturing first-person videos of all kinds. From biking to mountain climbing to water sports, their camcorder can handle just about anything.
Panasonic A500 Wearable Point-of-View Camcorder ($399.99) can be hooked under the user’s ears to provide hands-free footage with the head mount for Wearable Camcorder System ($34.99). Its level shot image stabilizer corrects small movements and jerks, producing a smooth recording that can be viewed in real time from the built-in LCD screen, and its Crystal Engine Pro+ 4K recording system is considered four times better than regular HD resolution. Additionally, the device is waterproof. Users can purchase one of two protection plans with drop and spill coverage: the two-year plan ($60.99) or the three-year plan ($80.99). Also available are a number of accessories like the tripod mount ($11.95 USD) and multi-mount ($29.95) for helmets and backpacks.
