Offering thousands of opportunities, Helpx and Workaway are two of the most trusted online sites. Visitors can read past worker reviews, job descriptions, expected time commitments and more.  For a nominal fee, you’ll also be able to contact the host directly.

Incorporate Your Own Work Interests

Considering there are boundless opportunities, there’s no reason to loathe the work you’ll be doing. Ideally, you should do something you enjoy and, perhaps, feel good listing on a resume. Thinking of a hospitality job in the future? Greet travelers at an eco-lodge in South America. Rather explore the countryside? Pick grapes in a small French vineyard. It’s important you and your host/employer have clearly defined expectations.
