Frequent flyers are more than well-versed in their flight routines and even the safety procedures. Some passengers may even see flying as more of a chore than a unique transition from one place to another. For those looking to ramp up the excitement in the world of aviation, a new experience evolved that allows you to fly with local pilots and view the world from a different vantage point.

Flytenow is a new travel excursion that lets you board a local pilot’s smaller aircraft and either take a sky tour of your surroundings or travel from Point A to Point B without having to sit in the traffic of ground transportation or deal with long lines at the commercial airport. Pilots who have already planned flights or who are planning a round-trip flight to a desired destination will welcome you aboard to fill one of their empty seats and join them on a daily errand.

Once you create an account on the site, you can search for adventures in your area including a daytrip to Martha’s Vineyard from Boston or a quick jaunt to Napa Valley from San Francisco. The service is perfect for travelers who are nagged by the adventure bug but who don’t want to take time from work for an extended holiday.

The flying experience will take place in a four-seat, two-propeller airplane, and the prices vary based on the distance traveled and number of passengers.
