Frontier Airlines

Traveling from the northern suburbs of Philadelphia can be a hassle depending on your departure time, as Philadelphia International Airport can be an hour south or more depending on traffic. I was glad to find Frontier flying out of Trenton, possibly the smallest airport I have been to, yet very convenient.

The time lapse from when I pulled into the parking lot to getting through security couldn’t have been more than 15 minutes, a breeze by today’s standards. The gate agents at boarding time were business-like and kept things moving. There was no jetway to board the plane, just two large ramps allowing passengers onto the plane via both front and back doors. We boarded quickly as a result of the dual points of entry, stopping only to snap a quick picture of my colleagues at the top of the ramp.

Our Classic Plus tickets provided us with seats with additional legroom. We also received a free drink during the flight, something most passengers had to purchase. The flight to Chicago Midway felt much shorter than Philadelphia to O’Hare, but that may have been my imagination. It was a smooth ride, and the same on the return.

Overall, the convenience factor made Frontier a great option for this trip and I would happily fly the same route or try another one in their network.
